I don't know were to start... I've had many great experiences at St.Mary's. We grew up with the same class mates since kindergarten; we've have some great memories together. Together we made it though everything; thick and thin, happy and sad, hard and easy. The thing i most appreciate is that I know that we've got each others backs going into the High School. In kindergarten we learned how to read and tie our shoes. First grade we learned about penguins and not just any penguin...Tacky the Penguin. Second grade we started to memorize prayers. Third we learned about endangered species and how we should care for the things around us. Also grade we also learned about and inventions and we got to make one. We thought our invention would change the world but we already were by showing our faith and what we learned about being a good Catholic outside of school. In forth grade we learned about the rain forest. As fifth graders we were the kings of the elementary and the small art room was the place to be! Sixth grade was a fun but tough year; not the grades but trying to fit in.  Everyone was trying to find who they are in this crazy world around us. Seventh grade was full of new experiences like mixed grade classes and being on the top floor of the school.  And now in eighth grade we had a lot of fun being the rulers of the school and have all the other students look up to you.  As our journy ends at St.Mary's, a new one begins at the high school but we will always hold a place in our hearts for St.Mary's. "Don't be afraid to keep moving on, For what was before, now has gone, God wants us to accomplish so much more, But we need to move forward in the Lord."

In my 21st Century Class we watched a video on borrowing money. It talked about if you spend more than you have you can fall into debt. If you have major debt the bank won't let you take out loans and it will be hard to pay for a home or a car. A lot of young teens fall into debt because they don't think before they spend.

If its not your picture and you want to use it you have to give credit to photographer. If you don't give credit to a photographer if you use their photo it's like stealing because some photographers are paid to take those photos.

Last week my eighth grade class went to ELC; ELC stands for Environmental Learning Center.  It's a camp that teaches you about nature and how to preserve it.  We had a lot of classes some of my favorites were the Ropes Course, Rock Climbing, Stream Study, and Beavers.  In the top picture Jonny, Jen and I are on Kitchen Patrol.  When you are assigned Kitchen Patrol you have to help serve breakfast, lunch or dinner.  The middle picture is of all the people who did the polar plunge.  The bottom picture is of me jumping in and Ryan trying to pull me back.

When i'm older i want to be Forensic Scientist because they get to solve crimes and investigate crimes. If you do what you love and love what you do, working should be fun. Some jobs don't always pay off because you don't always get the job apply for. Some jobs make you go to college for more than 4 years and that might cost a lot.

I spend my money on mostly electronics but sometimes i spend it at Kwik Trip because my friends and I go there alot. I can change my behavior by puting more in the bank than I spend.  If I start saving now it will be easier to pay bills in college.

A minor younger than 16 years old can not work work before 7 a.m. or after 9 p.m.   With the exception of a mail carrier.  They also can not work more than 40 hours a week and no more than eight hours in a 24 hour period.  If you want to work on a school day during school hours you need a employment certificate issued by the school district. 

Supreme Court

This post is about the new health care law that might be passed. It was assigned by the 21st century class that i'm in.  The law is called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and it states that everyone must have health care by 2014 or they will pay a fine.  Some people agree with this idea, but others think that it is against the Constitution because it is forcing people to buy something.  The Supreme Court will make the decision soon.

Postage Stamp!

Hey! Every summer my family and I go to the Mississippi River to go boat with our friends. We always have a lot of fun. This is one of our favorite spots to go to we call it the postage stamp because this island is like as small as a postage stamp! The picture shows my friends and I playing volleyball on the left and on the right we have all of our boats beached on the island. The bluff in the background is in Wisconsin.

SUMMER!

I can't wait till summer!  I love summer because its warm outside! This year i'm going to Florida for spring break! My whole family is coming with us.  We are all driving down in my grandparents Van!  We are staying in Florida for a week.  Me and my dad like to play paddle ball and football on the beach.  After I like to cool off by going body boarding!

Lets Get started!

Hey!  My name is Jack and I am an eighth grader at St.Mary's School.  I love listening to music and playing music.  I play hockey, football, baseball and the piano.  I have five people and one dog in my family.  I have two sisters, my mom and my dad and my dog Walle.  I love to travel; my favorite state is Forida because it is warm all year round.  This past winter I had a lot of fun hanging with some of my amazing cousins!(that you can see in the picture up above)  In the some i like to go to the Mississippi River and go boating and tubing.
